Seeing Life's Greatness Despite the Challenges

Alan overcame his challenges by having teammates around him and the support of his parents.Alan has also had to give swimming all his strength to become as good as he is and could not have done that without the support of the team and help of team.He learns to navigate by running his hands on the walls to become familiar of the area he is in.I can apply this to my life by not giving up on what I want to do.

Alan overcame his obstacle of being blind by realizing that no matter what what I do I cant change it, so he just embraced his talent of swimming, and with realizing this he has found something that he loves. Even though he may not be the best that doesn't stop him. I think that this can apply to all of us because, we all cna take this because we all have something wrong with us so we all just need to go to the light at the end of the tunnel.

  10. Alan overcame his challenge by when he had Saturdays event circled on his calendar the blog said said that is when he kicked his training into high gear. Also it said people were amazed he could swim also the blog said by counting his strokes and his team would tap him when he would turn or when to finish. I could apply this determination to my own life by giving it my all on everything i do no matter what happens. Also, I could try harder in football no matter who were playing or who I am against you give it your all and fear nothing.

  11. Alan is challenged by him being born blind and with that doesn't stop him from doing the stuff he loves swimming. It says that before the school season started he went around the high school and found ways to navigate around the school by counting his steps, and that shows that nothing is impossible.

  12. Alan overcame the challenge of navigating life without his vision by always trying to adapt to his environment. He does things like practice his way around the hallways or using his cane to make sure he doesn't fall into the pool during meetings. Also, to compete better he counts his strokes when swimming to make sure he doesn't hit the wall. Finally, even though he has a disability he always practices to make sure he is in his best shape. I can apply his determination to my life my practicing even when I'm not playing the sport.

People would tap him on the shoulder to let him know when he needed to turn. He did not care what challenges were in his way, he was going to defeat them.   22. Alan overcame his challenge by finding something that he liked to do, which is swimming. No matter how hard it was, he just kept trying and became a great swimmer, and he has overcome his challenge of blindness. I can apply this to my own life by always trying as hard as i can, no matter what the challenge is.

  31. Alan overcame his diversity and didn't give up on his dreams and goals.he wanted to swim and win challenges, and that's exactly what he did! He didn't let being blind get in his way. He trained until he got the movements down perfectly. I can apply this to my own life because when I want to accomplish a task, I don't give up, I keep trying.

  33. Alan likes to swim even when he is blind and when you think about it is very impressive . He said he likes swimming for the competition he said when he barely beats someone or someone barely beats him he said that those are the best races. I can apply this to my life by pushing myself to do better in situations that are difficult.

  44. Alan overcame his challenge of navigating his life without his vision by determination. He had such a strong determination to do what he loved and he worked hard to accomplish it. He didn't let his condition ruin his dreams and what he enjoyed doing. I can apply this to my life by maybe figuring out what I love to do and work hard at it and achieve my goals.

  45. Alan Brint was motivated that is why he was trying over and over again. That is why he trained for a decent amount of time. I think that Alan overcame his blindness by his coaches and teammates motivating him. So with all of this being said i would do the exact thing that Alan did. I agree with Alan so much and I can't believe that he was brave enough to sigh up for a sport being blind, that just goes to show anyone can do anything if they believe they can.

  47. Alan used his challenges as encouragement and overcame then instead of feeling defeated and stopping. He counted how many steps it took to get to different classes. He relied on others to tell him went to turn, or when He was in a new area. I can apply his determination to my life, because I can feel encouraged to overcome my challenges not defeated.

Everyone one should look at him as an example of never giving up and apply that to your life to remember it when you face a hard challenge.

  51. Alan overcame his challenge by pursuing this dream. He pushed himself into the challenge. Alan had a strong motivation that his dream has to be done, like a mission. He worked hard, so finally persuaded his dream and accomplished the task. I can apply Alan's hard work, and use it to complete my challenges in school.
