  1. The line that I chose in Ella Wilcox's poem, "Solitude" was "Succeed and give, and it helps you live". I think that this applies to Harrison Ford's and Oprah Winfrey's story because both are kind of similar. They both had people that thought they weren't good enough to do what they loved. But they kept trying, and doing whats right which caused them to succeed. Now they are both very popular and a lot of people love to watch them(Oprah's talk show and Harrison Ford's movies).

  2. The line that I thought of in Ella Wilcox's poem. The line that I chose was"But one by one we must all file on through the narrow aisles of pain."(Wilcox) When I saw this video I thought of this line. I picked this line because all this people had to file on through there aisles of pain when they were ether fired or shut down by higher people in the showbiz or publishers.

  3. The line that I chose was "they want full measure of all your pleasure". The video says that people get judged all the time and sometimes it doesn't stop these people got judge by someone who didn't even know that they were that good until they've actually seen them. I see that the point is that some people get judged but they kept moving forward they didn't stop believing in themselves. So if you stop believing in your selve those dreams might not come true

  4. The line that I thought best suits this video was " But one by one we must all file on through the narrow aisles of pain" (Wilcox). I thought this because all of those people mentioned had struggles in their life. All those famous people faced challenges but they did not let it get the better of them, look where they are now.

  5. The line that I chose from the poem was "But has trouble enough of its own." The people in the video were told that they couldnt do things but they ended up doing them. Everyones going to struggle in life and a lot of people are going through the same type of things but they dont know that. Nobody is ever alone. No matter what kind of hard time that someone is dealing with. If you stop believing in yourself, and your future, you wont get to where you want to be

  6. The line that best suits this ''but one by one we must all file on through the narrow aisles of pain (Wilcox). The people in the video all had to do something and they did it. Life is tough but you have to move on and keep going in life and do not let it get to you.

  7. In the poem "solitude" I choose the line "but one by one me must all file down the aisles of pain (Wilcox). This relates to michael Jordan, and Harrison ford's story because they both where to they weren't good enough. After faceing this adversity, they both became iconic people, and amazing at what they did.

  8. The line "but one by one we must all file on through the narrow aisles of pain" from the poem, "Solitude, " by Ella Wheeler Wilcox can relate to two of the stories on the video. Michael Jordan and Walt Disney were both rejected and criticized through their challenges during life. They were told they were not good enough. But, both pushed through the pain and never gave up. The kept trying, which caused them to end up being successful.

you can do what you put you mind to no matter the challenge you can

  12. The line I chose from the poem was "But one by one we must all file on through the narrow aisles of pain." by Ella Wilcox. I chose this line because in the video everyone was doubted but they managed to achieve their life goal. Despite being put down they all kept with it. All of them had their ups and downs in life but got through the negatives.

  13. In the poem "Solitude" by Ella Wheeler Wilcox the idea of everybody having to struggle through adversity is shown with the author saying " There is room in the halls of pleasure ... But we one by one must file on ... Through the narrow aisles of pain"(Wilcox 3). The people in the video can relate to this idea because they struggled at first and then became something great. Overall, I feel that Wilcox and the people represented in the video felt the same way about getting through adversity.

  14. The poem "Solitude" by Ella Wheeler Wilcox says "but one by one we must all file on through the narrow aisle of pain" (Wilcox). All the people in the video all went through some aisle of pain but overcame it by not giving up. In the video the one that really touched me was Michael Jordan, he did not make his high school basketball team but did not give up and was one of the best basketball players that ever played. This all shows that keep trying and striving for greatness can get you anywhere.

  15. They relate because all these people were told they were bad at what they wanted to do but they were great at it. "solitude" says to achieve your goals so we can have a happy life. So everyone can achieve their goals if you work for it

  16. The poem "Solitude" by Ella Wheeler Wilcox has a line that says, "but one by one we must all file on through the narrow aisle of pain" (Wilcox). It applies to all of them because, they all were discouraged and told they couldn't do something. But as they went on they all achieved their goal and were people they wanted to be and not people they were told to be.

  17. In the poem "Solitude" the line "Be sad, and you lose them all" (Wilcox). This line relates to the stories of Michel Jordan and Charles Darwin because Michel Jordan was cut from the team and he decided to be sad and cried alone. This relates to Charles Darwin's story because he was told he was lazy , but he chose not to be sad and alone.

  18. In the poem "Solitude" the line "but one by one we must all file on through the narrow aisles of pain" relates to the stories of Abraham Lincoln and Dr. Seuss. Both of them were rejected or defeated at accomplishing their dreams, but they didn't let that stop them. Dr. Seuss was rejected 27 times before publishing his first book and Abraham Lincoln was defeated at 8 elections. But they still kept going and they succeeded.

  19. The line I found similar to the video was "succeed and give, and it help u live" (Wilcox). It best goes with the Video because it's telling about famous people and how they came over adversity and how we need to get over are troubles to. It's also shows that no one can be amazing at what they do is just that u have to keep trying over and over again.

  20. In the poem "Solitude" the line I picked was "Succeed and give it helps you live". I think this could relate to the writers in the video because of how people would reject them multiple times, but they would still try their hardest to accomplish their goals.

  21. In the poem "Solitude" by Ella Wheeler Wilcox, the line "But one by one we must all file through the aisles of pain." relates to the stories of Charles Darwin and Harrison Ford. Charles Darwin was told by his father he was lazy and too dream. Harrison Ford was told by movie executives that he didn't have "it" factor to be a star. The line from the poem relates to Charles Darwin and Harrison Ford because they were both told that they couldn't achieve or do what they want to do and that was their aisle of pain.

  22. The poem, " Solitude" by Ella Wilcox is similar to the video because the poem and the video both stretch the idea that everyone needs to go through pain. For example, whenever Ella states that everyone has to go through pain, "But one by one we must all file along through the narrow aisles of pain"(Wilcox). The poem and the video both show that everyone will have to go through pain alone or by themselves because others don't seem to care about your situation or they might even be the cause of the pain that you are going through, just like whenever Michale Jordan got kicked off the basketball team and how Oprah Winfrey got laughed at whenever she went onto stage for the first time. The poem and the video both convey that everyone has to go through pain alone, one way or the other.

  23. In the poem "Solitude", by Ella Wheeler Wilcox the line " But one by one we must all file through the aisles of pain' (Wilcox) it suites for Walt Disney and Thomas Edison. They were both judged by how one of them couldn't have any ideas and lacked of imagination, while the other was too irrelevant for studies. these both men did not give up on their dreams and kept moving on with an ambition. With overcoming their pain and adversity, today they are recognized very famous and improved our lives with lifestyle and entertainment.

  24. In the poem "Solitude", by Ella Wheeler Wilcox the line "But one by one we must all file through the aisles of pain"(Wilcox). The video and the poem both show that everyone hurts and everyone will be sad in life but could actually amount to something. Michael Jordan was kicked off his basketball team and he went home and cried and now he is a world renowned athlete.

  25. The line I choose from the poem "solitude" by Ella Wheeler Wilcox is "but one by one we must all file in through the narrow asile of pain"(Wilcox). I think this applies to Harrison Ford's and Oprah Winfrey's story because both of them had pain or challenges in there life but it's their descion to move past it or to be miserable. Both of these peices had people tear them down ,but were still able to accomplish there goals.

  26. In the poem "Solitude" by Ella Wilcox Wheeler the line that I believe goes with the story of Michael Jordan and Abraham Lincoln is "Laugh, and the whole world laughs with you; Weep, and weep alone"(Wilcox). In both of there stories they both had a meltdown when they faced the adversity they came face to face with and the world never supported them. But, when they rose to fame the world joined them. The adversity of both person has this one thing in common.

  28. The line that I chose from the poem "Solitude" was " Succeed and give and it helps you live"(Wilcox) I chose this line because it can relate to both the video and the poem. It relates to Thomas Edison, Walt Disney, Harrison Ford, and may others. these people all have the same thing in common, they were rejected or turned down at some point but kept going and trying harder and they turned out to be great people. Overall the theme of these two sources are the same, when you are turned down you can feel lonely, but when you get back up and try again, the world will be on your side.

  29. The line in the poem Solitude "The echoes bound to a joyful noise, but shrink from voicing care."Relates to the two videos J.K. Rowling and Harrison Ford. The line relates to J.K. Rowlings by her having Penniless, severly depressed, divorced, trying to raise her child on her own ,while and attending school and writing a novel. So she was very depressed in the begininning and in the end she defeated adversity. Harrison Ford was told he didnt have what it took to be a star and he became a big movie star and overcame adversity. So like the poem line in Solitude "The echoes bound to a joyful sound,But shrink from voicing care." So those to videos show the same thing as that line in the poem life is hard at first but you can overcome adversity in the end or the other way around.

  30. The line from the poem "Solitude" is "They want full measure of all your pleasure, but they do not need your woe" (Wilcox). This relates to Albert Einstein and Walt Disney. Albert Einstein didn't speak till he was four< and was told he wouldn't amount to much. Walt Disney was fired for lack of imagination and no original ideas. Both men are thought of by there accomplishments not their struggles. Everyone knows what they did that helps not what the men had to go through to get there.

  31. The Poem says succeed and give and it helps you live which totally relates to this, because from reading this article it seems as if all these amazing icons all succeeded and gave us all a lot of amazing things. This tells us that anybody can do anything no matter how easy or hard it is. So basically what I'm trying to say is that all these examples they all started out as a little speck on the earth now they are all really big specks

  32. In the poem "Solitude" by Ella Wilcox the line "But one by one we must all file through the narrow aisles of pain."(Wilcox) relates to J.K Rowling and Oprah Winfrey. J.K Rowling was raising a family alone along with other problems and Oprah was laughed at the first time she was on stage. They both had to overcome their adversities alone and fight for their goal.

  33. The line "but alone u must drink life's gal" (Wilcox). Relates to mostly all these people's problem, many of these people were told that their dumb, not good,or that they would never make it,but that didn't stop them. Many of these people went on their own not caring what others thought about them.Eachand everyone one of them turned out successful and famous! We all should be inspired by these people because they all fought alone and proved to the people that turned them down that they were wrong that they could actually become someone in life.

  34. In the poem "Solitude" by Ella Wilcox the line "But one by one we must all file through the narrow aisles of pain" (Wilcox). Ella is relating to most of the people in the video by showing that everyone in the video had to go through failure. But she kept pushing to get through their problems. Each and everyone of those people proved those people wrong. Everyone has to go through pain to succeed.

  35. To begin, in the poem "Solitude" by Ella Wheeler Wilcox she says " But alone you must drink life's gall" (Wilcox). People, all by themselves, must suffer the pain and hardships in life. This line relates to many in the video, but more specifically to some. For example, J. K. Rowling had no husband, she was alone, suffering depression, working hard in school, trying to raise a child, and on top of all that she had no money. The line also relates to Michael Jordan because he was cut from his basketball team as a high schooler and he was most likely felling alone, being forced away from his fellow teammates, in fact he went home alone in his room and cried. In conclusion the poem "Solitude" and the video we were assigned to watch both show that there are many obstacles and letdowns in life but along the way there are happy moments that give you hope and eventually you will excel.

  36. In the poem solitude by Ella Wilcox she says that "one by one we must all file on
Through the narrow aisles of pain.( Wilcox)"She says that because she is telling us that some people will say that we are bad at something and we will never be good at it. But if you believe in yourself and you practice you might go farther then anybody else that said you were no good. All those people were told that they would never do anything great in life and they all went on to follow their dreams and do something special Dr. Seuss got rejected 27 times before a book got published and now he is a well know writer. Oprah got told that she was unfit for TV and she had her own show and all these people have something in common they all proved the people that said that they would never make it wrong.

  37. In the poem,'' Solitude,'' Ella Wilcox states "One by one we must file on through the narrow aisles of pain"(Wilcox). The video and the line from the poem both show that everyone can face adversity alone. For example, in high school Michael Jordan,"... was cut from the high school basketball team, went home, locked himself in his room and cried"(Video). Michael Jordan didn't let getting cut from the basketball stop him from being one of the greatest basketball players in history. Also, working for a newspaper Walt Disney,"... was fired because he lacked imagination and had no original ideas''(Video). Walt Disney didn't let being fired stop his imagination from getting to what he has accomplished over these years. Overcoming adversity can result in great things if you don't let the adversity bring you down.

  38. The line that I chose from the poem "Solitude" was "Succeed and give, and it helps you live," (Wilcox) I chose this line because it relates to Albert Einstein and J.K Rowling because they both kept on trying despite the challenges they had to face. They both had to work hard to succeed and gave the world awesome things. Then, because of that they got to live a good life. That is how the line I chose from the poem relates to these people who overcame diversity.

  39. The line I chose in the poem ''Solitude'' was ''One by one we must file through the narrow aisles of pain,'' (Wilcox). I chose that because that is what mostly relates to Micheal Jordan and Dr. Seuss. They (as well as the others in this video) didn't let other people's opinions determine their future. They just kept practicing and bettering themselves to later earn great success in life and they proved all their doubters wrong. Pain doesn't slow you down , it is how you respond that determines how challenging your obstacles will be.

It relates to them becaus they where having problems getting recognized and no one could help them fix their problems.
